PwC India Hi Folks, I left my stable job at Deloitte USI and moved to Germany for a better job. But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Not related, but what firm are you at? I’m sick and tired of sitting at home and need to travel
You can get Hilton Diamond just by holding the Aspire card. As both an Ambassador and a Globalist, I vastly prefer Hyatt.
Only downfall if you’re not collecting all your points on one account so have blow out on an awesome location all in one hotel
I’m only two years away from lifetime platinum. I’ll worry after that
As someone who has had lifetime Marriott status for a while (formerly lifetime Platinum, grandfathered into lifetime Titanium with the rebranding of the awards program to Bonvoy) it’s allowed me to “experiment” with other chains more. The downsides to lower or no status are much less in most hotels, as opposed to a cheap coach fare without status on a flight which can be downright unpleasant. That said, I tend to largely still use Marriott properties due to the status benefits but it is liberating to not have to worry about requalifying each year or travel with a project team that wants to use another chain.
My AMEX gives me pretty much perpetual Hilton Gold, so it tends to be my secondary chain, plus they like Marriott have a very large number of properties.
I’m lifetime titanium with Marriott and prefer Hyatt (where I have Globalist status at the moment but am a long ways off from lifetime Globalist, which requires spending $200k at Hyatts). With Marriott moving to dynamic award pricing, Hyatt points are worth a lot more too. Agree with others to just get Hilton status from credit cards, particularly with Hilton points having little value.
