Recently got a job offer from Audible Newark NJ location. How is the Newark location? Is it a safe place to work? I plan to live in Jersey City and commute by PATH. I am seeing conflicting opinions about itonline. Would really appreciate input from someone working in the area. Audible, Inc. Amazon

Big risks = big rewards. It’ll take you decades to make 70% more money at your current job. Plus Meta will add prestige to your resume.
Thank you.
My concern is that if I accept Meta's offer and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress. It will be showing a professional whom for 11 years have been working as demand/supply planner. FYI, i used to work as contractor to Google for 2 years but unfortunately no permanent opps appeared during that period due to headcount
Depends what matters most to you. Job stability or as previous person said the money? If it is 70% more than your regular salary, even if you only do 12 months, it more than your current job. List out the pros and cons of staying and of going for the contract. Check if one has more pros vs cons than the other and make your choice.
thank you
I agree with all of the other comments.
One thing to add is that as a contractor you may be paying more out of pocket for insurance and other benefits you get now as part of a package.
I work in the UK. Do not need insurance
Contract role also offers higher bonus from the perm job 20% vs 18% and they also pay pension. I presume lower % the perm one
Forget the prestige. You will probably learn a lot more than anywhere else while working there unless you work at another comparable company. The prestige will get you the next role if you don't stay, but your skills will be better than most people
Would you mind sharing the contracting company details please?
