Is it wrong to say "thank you" when you're given an assignment? If so, how do you end your response? Just "will do." or similar?

... Is this a real question?

I’ll say thanks if they give feedback on something I drafted and ask me to incorporate it (idk why, but I guess thanks for the learning opportunity). Otherwise nah

Will do

I always thank you people. It makes you seem humble and appreciative. I thank people for their time, explaining the assignment, keeping me in mind for the assignment, and feedback. Let’s be real… they don’t have to give you anything.

like

Yeah this is what I was thinking. I wanted to make sure I wasn't overdoing it with the thank you's. I know it's probably a silly thing to overthink on but that's what I thought about "no problem" at first so...

Partner gets so many emails that he said please don’t send “thank you” or “will do” emails. Obviously, I was sending those beforehand. Start with thanks (if guidance included) or will do (if just do XYZ). If the partner is annoyed, they’ll tell you

Depends if I asked for this type of project then I would say “Thanks - will do!”… otherwise I’m a big user of “Will do!”

Does anyone else get super annoyed at having to provide the same information , documents or research to a partner numerous times? Even copying the assigned secretary doesn’t help because they just regurgitate the request rather than saying “hey she gave this to you already”. Sometimes I respond with massive attitude and then have to rewrite because I need my job…lol.

Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

I moved from India to Canada 2yrs back. I am happy here, enjoying work, new place and new lifestyle. But, even after 2yrs of being in a new country I have no social life. Couldn't meet anyone new as it's a work from home situation. There are a few meetup groups but being an introvert that I am, it's hard to make friends this way. I prefer a more natural way of meeting people.. like at work or at an institute etc. Anybody has any suggestions?

2. You would ask questions, and whoever is able to answer it, you will give some merchandise only to them?, And the other people are not your employees?
Why are you even organizing it? You think people would come from far places just for lunch?
