Is it’s okay to start interviewing with company’s even though you don’t plan on leaving your job for another year or so?

I have applied for one the openings in infosys, but from a long time the application status is showing as " schedule interview " in the portal .
Can anyone confirm if they will going to schedule any interview or application is already closed ?

How some people are clearing interview and then getting into a project even though they don't have any skills, no desire to learn new things, can't perform a very very simple task even though it's already documented clearly, totally burden on team members. They don't even try to do basic troubleshooting when they faced simple issues, rather asks stupid question to junior who is having only 1 years of experience and ask for solution.

I wanted to know the interview process for the role of program manager in Microsoft. How many technical rounds happen? Are they very technical or mostly based on case studies and frameworks? Anywho, I was wondering why the interviewer came in with such a negative tone.. and it just hit me...AGEISM!! I'm not quite 40 but the more I think about it, that's definitely what it was. I'm on my notice period and got an offer from a company which is the role I'm looking for. However, they've given only 1 day to respond to the offer. This company is 2nd on my priority list and I got this from a personal connect.

Next week I have an interview with my 1st priority company (but that is interview 1st round).

Is it okay to first accept an offer and then say no & not join?

What are some good resources to prepare for data science interviews?

Notice Period question please. After being in the same company for 8yrs & experiencing burnout in the last 2 years, I’d like to make sure I take a month’s break before jumping into my next role. Esp as I havent taken more than 2 days off at a time this year (max. 3 times/Long weekends).

What’s the best way to go about it? Should I give my exact notice period & negotiate start date, or share my notice period with a “buffer”?
