Just need to vent - I joined a firm last year that is so, so, so, busy. Like I know you typically get hired when things picked up, but I was handed files that needed immediate action despite them knowing I’d need training in this new area. I’m catching up and enjoy the work, but I am so tired from hitting the ground running. When can I take a vacation?

First year. I feel like I’m about to get a “talking to” because my hours are so low. I don’t really like my firm or practice group - will I burn a bridge by just coasting it out and lateraling?
