Hi Folks,
My wife has 5 years of experience in Banking Industry now she want to switch her career in IT, she has worked as coding instructor for html/css/js/react native, she has React certification as well. Now she is ready to take interviews.
Now how to convey this to recruiters and are they ok to take interview for frontend developer, how much experience can be considered and what salary can be expected?

I didn’t get sponsorship, but am currently at a M7. I’m very happy with my choice. Happy to chat about my decision if you wanna reach out.
Yes if you want to use the MBA to change jobs anyway
Hey OP I am on a same boat. I am applying to NYU Stern ‘ executive program but now I am in dilemma if I should pursue it for the same reason.
There’s definitely scholarship opps out there too! And, federal loans are on a 10 year repayment plan so it’s not the end of the world
Alternatively, depending on your company try getting into a top school then come back to them and ask again for sponsorship. If it’s a top tier school and you express you really want to come back after they may give you some money.
SC1 - that is currently the goal. See if I can get into a top program and then go back to my company and see if sponsorship is possible. Taking out loans would be another option if scholarships don’t come through but I was fortunate enough to not have debt after college (I feel very fortunate and grateful for this) and loans would feel very daunting
Which company are you at?
Same situation. I’m planning on applying to a few R2 and see what happens. The way I look at it, close to half the people I know who have gotten sponsorship haven’t returned anyway. Of course we won’t have the cushy fallback option, but I have to imagine having prior consulting experience and a top MBA makes you a strong candidate at many consulting firms even if all other plans don’t work out.
I think the toughest aspect of not being sponsored has been thinking through my story since I can’t just say I want to come back.
