I have an offer from IQVIA and the joining is in 2 weeks, considering the recession and the negative talks going on should i consider joining??
I currently have a good WLB working from home and less work pressure, the work process is streamlined already and people are also good to collaborate. The major drawback being a total Night shift.

Yeah, not at all what happened. A certain subset of experienced hire associates got reclassified in an HR snafu after their compensation memos went out to a class year later and saw their bonus amount drop accordingly (and in some cases significantly). But bonuses will still paid out, total comp increased to be basically equivalent to BB in most cases.
Well, I would say it’s extremely dramatic for a small group of people. They are (rightfully) completely livid about the situation.
If I were affected I don’t think there is any chance that I would stay. The job market is still hot and this is a really big mess up, even if the pool of affected people is small
The $140K I’m expecting seems to indicate we’re fine.

Well, McK had moved away from pure strategy consulting long ago…implementation, software revenue streams, etc. Portfolio much more similar to a small Big 5 then to MBB these days. That’s the price of the growth focus.
Doesn’t surprise that margin profile / ability to pay bonuses looks similar to a Big 4 now as well.
This is not true EAP1. We still mostly do strategy consulting. And for our longer-term implementation work we either charge the same rate as our strategy work or do fees at-risk.
As noted elsewhere in the thread, we recently had a back office snafu with comp memos for a subset of colleagues. Outside of this cohort bonuses were as expected.
Complete shot in the dark but it's my perception that Mck hired much more aggressively in the past 1-2 years compared to BB, which may have come back to bite them now that work is slowing
This is my impression too. They basically slashed MBA interviews at my T15 by 2/3rds compared to last year. I am suspecting a lot of people will get counseled out over next 18 months.

As others mentioned, we are paying out bonuses. The amounts for a subgroup of folks in the US are different than what someone promised, which is a problematic messup on their part. However, I haven't heard of this in any region or if any indication that bonuses won't be paid.
