How did you go about getting on boards ?
Ya it’s not quite the same as Accenture is publicly traded not a partnership. So the equivalent at D would be a salaried principal or something that didn’t buy in and doesn’t have equity benefits upon retirement
It’s the same as P at D.. specifically, comp for Strategy MD is similar to D S&A Partners.. Partners at D have buy-in, pay taxes across all states, and have to buy healthcare but then they have pensions (I think) that Accenture MDs don’t get. Also, MDs at Accenture can be let go relatively easily vs a Partner at D
In responsibility, MD (and Senior MD) at Accenture is equivalent to the entire grouping of PPMD at Deloitte. From a compensation and ownership perspective, as mentioned, the difference is in equity. Deloitte is private, so Partners and Principals buy in to the firm and get ownership stakes. MDs at Accenture also buy in but only in the sense of buying shares in the company on the market. They also get restricted stock that vests over time. In both cases, there is a significant aspect of compensation that comes from pay-for-performance of the overall firm.
