QA future career options - I have 10+ yr exp (all in QA both manual & automation) & 4yr with Deloitte as SS (none of my past 4 projects were ready to support my promotion even though I am doing above & beyond my role). I sense that managers don't feel QA is an important part of project & always try to find excuse to turn down the promotion opportunity. Feeling a tad down. Found out I got promoted a few days ago but besides my parents, did not get the reactions I expected from “friends”. Also I have no one to celebrate with. My family lives far away and moved to a city just before covid so lacking in the friend group department. I feel like I should do something due to blood sweat and tears to get here but feeling sad because I have no one to share it with. What did you do to celebrate?

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. Is anyone else concerned about how to raise the expectations and students’ self-discipline back to pre-enabling levels?

Hi fishes good evening. I joined CapG on 26th may 2021 as a Associate consultant.  Till this date i got appraisal as well as promotion also.
But this is not sufficient  for a 5 year experience Data Engineer. So i resigned on 12 th june 2022. My current CTC is 9 lpa and i asked them 15lpa for retain. Everything is fine from my Capgemini manager and client manager. Only i am expecting HR Call and that will happen next week as my manager said. Any suggestion what will be next CTC ? Thanks All

I just finished my Masters at UT Arlington. I’ve been working for this firm for almost 3 years in uptown Dallas. I technically don’t have a title, obviously because I’m not license. I mainly do a lot of renderings and postproduction work along with some digital graphics for a lot of projects. Is it too soon to ask for a pay raise? Or how do I come about that?

I'm a new mom with a 10 month old. I only work 25-30 hours a week and I'm killing it at work, exceeding my goals, etc. But I feel a little guilty that I just got a promotion and I don't work as many hours as my colleagues. I got an offer from Natwest. My current company is accenture and they are offering me to promote as an assoc manager if i take my resignation back. Shall i consider it? What whould i prefer Nat west or promotion in Accenture. How much hike accenture gives while promoting? Any inputs?

I am having doubts in my mind regarding a job offer. I have been working for more than 4 years in Accenture and now I am being promoted to analyst level in September. With market correction and promotion, I might get somewhere around 30% increment. However, wipro has given me an offer with around 55% hike on my current salary but on senior associate level only. Should I take that offer or stay at Accenture only?

I’ve never whipped it out in front of any colleagues, men or women. I thought it was just common sense. But in light of recent news, I’m thinking I deserve a raise for this.

I’m currently a business analyst and recently k was offered a promotion to Project Manager.
Meanwhile, I got another offer from EY as a Senior Consultant
My current company are willing to match EY offer and they want me to stay.
Part of me wants to join EY as it’s a big name on the resume and I can learn a lot from it BUT another part of me wants the PM and comfort zone in my current job.

I’ve been working for the same company for 3 years now doing traffic engineering in metro Atlanta. We recently had our reviews and our manager did mine and my coworkers as a group, so I didn’t have a great time to try to negotiate my raise (researched average salary, inflation rates, etc). Long story short I asked for a separate meeting to discuss it and he said that I had received a 5% bonus which was the “max allowed” before meeting. I’m now at about $62,700 and looking for input.

Leaving job after @3 yrs of misery. After yr 1, found out I was paid >21% less than the man bf me w/twice the work and judgment. Boss lowballed my performance again - took 10k from bonus and $1k off raise. No feedback/reason. I’ve asked for HR review, but will give notice bf its complete. I admit, I’m angry. This whole debacle is bc of 1 petty, insecure man and his sycophantic boys club… I want to have the option to go to the EEOC… Do I push and hold them to it or just walk away?

Current project is really impactful and interesting but I'm noticing that the work I am doing is not being recognized as much as the people essentially creating slide decks and just "looking busy". Seems to me the only recognition and promotion is given to people who act like mini managers. Honestly a bit disgusted by this. I have about 3.5 YOE in federal contracting, half a year with Uncle D. I have language skills in critical language and TS clearance.

Hey gang, lately I have been thinking if I got underpaid. Graduated from master school right after 2020 pandemic and started by 68K as UXD in digital sales company based in NYC. With 2 YOE the salary went up by 3% and 5% average promotion. Now it comes up to 75K w/ 6K bonus. What do you think of this? My manager honestly told me I was underpaid during 1-1 but since he was newly hired not long ago, he told me he has no solution at the moment. Thinking of starting a new position...

Do you feel you get appropriate career counseling and support for personal growth and development ? What are your expectations? Year 7 partner, doing well, but feel like most of my advice is from peers and not senior partners. Really wish I had that but maybe that’s not the norm?
