Is now a good time to buy an apartment in nyc? Probably would live there for the next 5-10 years before settling down into a house.

Too soon to tell. Too early for covid related foreclosures and unclear if Manhattan real estate prices will bounce back in time to make it worth it. 5 years isn’t really worth it in Manhattan.

Also is it worth to buy and then rent it out after 5-10 years?

Depends on the building sublet rules. Generally not

Lots of red tape in NYC so usually it’s far more expensive to buy than rent. Most buildings are co ops which have rules and HOA dues that can be as much as or more than your actual mortgage payment.

HYPOTHETICAL: Your divorce client found what is likely very illegal drugs in their spouse’s suitcase (they innocently borrowed the suitcase). There’s no legitimate chain of custody here for an arrest. How would you use this in the custody case? Would you simply have police pick it up from your office and fill out a report (knowing they won’t test the substance for a definitive conclusion)? The type of presumed drug exits the system within 4 days so a court ordered drug test may be useless.

Literally STILL waiting fo a first time H1-B approval after RFE. Please tell me I have company.

What happens if I am recruited in another company and my H1 transfer is rejected? Pls note I haven’t resigned from my previous company since was waiting for my H1 to approve.

Hi Guys, I am currently working as a Staff Accountant and I am looking for a job with H1B sponsorship. I have completed my CPA and looking for a job referral. I am open to both private and public.

H-1B transfer (Premium Processing) was recently approved. It has been 14 business days since the approval and my attorney still hasn’t received the physical approval notice. Anybody in the same boat? What is the timeline these days? Attorney is insistent on getting the physical copy before I put in my 2 weeks notice.

Posting here because I truly don't know what to do. Hired a moving company to move out of NYC. They turned out to be just the 'brokers' not the company who would actually do the moving services. Essentially both companies worked together to get as much money out of me as possible, and the pick-up experience was awful. It's now been 10 days and I still have no idea where my belongings are, and neither company will answer my calls, texts, emails, anything!! What can I do in this situation?

Please share any suggestions you have below! No limits in terms of activity or budget. I have about 8-9 weeks that I plans to cover.
