How shall I negotiate?

Crying for my RSUs….started at my company about 6 months ago and got some RSUs split over 3 years. Turns out the stock price at time of my hiring (which is what was used to calculate the number of shares over the three years) was the highest it’s ever been. Looking for unbiased advice from Big 4 partners. As an experienced SM at EY in the pipeline for partner in two years, would I be better off jumping ship to another Big 4 now (delaying the promotion for at least a year or two in the process), targeting a direct admit role at a mid tier firm or staying put knowing I won’t make nearly as much as a MD in NewCo. I’ve talked to several partners and none of have been able to articulate how us heavy SMs aren’t getting screwed over.

My partner told me that he's emotionally hurt by our arguments/bickering (which happen often, lately). What does that mean?
