McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company

Working 80+ hours. teammates are smart but not nice. stuck on the same type of cases. I can't breathe
Leave? It’s just a job my dude, there are more out there. Imagine someone rolled onto your team and they said “yeah I spent a year at my last firm.” Would you think anything of it?
No. Consulting isn’t for everyone (not being a troll here, I genuinely mean that) no matter how smart you are. It could also very much be the nature of your client / project / supervisor / team which is causing the hours and stress. If you don’t get the sense of which one is the root cause and/or there’s no viable path to change, then start to explore other options.
No, you can exit whenever you want. I existed after less than a year at Accenture. It was the best decision I’ve made in my entire life.
What kind of exit opportunities should I be looking for? Are there any major differences between exiting after 1 year vs 2 years?
