I have been in my current role less than a year and got approached by a recruiter for an opportunity that is 35% increase in pay for the same work I am doing. It will be a lateral move.
Two weeks ago I expressed interest to move up to SA level, my director was happy to do it as she is putting out four more roles in her team. Problem is there is a one year clause that says you can’t promote prior to one year. She is working with the HRBP to override it. (Cont’d in comments)
Hey everyone! I’m interviewing for an HR Generalist role at a Fintech company, this will be their first HR hire and will be reporting to the CFO. I got invited to a second round interview to meet the team to ensure that it’s a good culture fit. I would love to know any thoughts on what I should ask or do to ensure that I am great fit. I left a good impression on the CFO but would to see what else so can do when meeting with the team since it’ll be a 2.5 hour meet up. I’m really excited!
It's engineering, not rocket science. I mean unless it really IS rocket science... in which case it's engineering, physics, and chemistry.
I’m not sure why recruiters think they’re doing the work of angels.. check out section 3 below. Why are you even trained to undercut pay? Just pay everyone honestly.
Big 4 Directors (or equivalent): what are typical hours you’re working these days? Currently at mid-tier and contemplating a switch, but generally working 45-55 a week, which isn’t too bad.

I (M25) have been dating my girlfriend since sophomore year of college. I’ve never been on a date with another girl and have been wondering what else is out there. Are these normal things to wonder about? I love her for sure, but I’m just not sure I’m ready to completely settle down. We’re talking about moving in together and that feels like a lot despite how long we’ve been together.
I’ve decided my New Year’s resolution for 2021 will be to manage stress better. Any tips?

Im an associate in audit about to be promoted to senior but ive been thinking about switching over to tax. Seems more challenging and independent compared to audit, which is why im considering the switch. But is it worth the switch considering less outside opportunities compared to audit? Also is there a specialization in tax that is more in demand than others?
