Personal lines agents that work from supplied leads, have you guys noticed a huge slow down in lead quantity this year over last? I am writing almost half the business that I was this time last year, I’m starting to get worried about lay offs at my job if this continues. Usually the summer time is very busy for us.. you’d think with inflation more people would be looking at places to save some money, thus driving more quotes in.

Moved here for an opportunity. The "agency" focus is on sports and the first round of layoffs happened this past week. I dont plan to stay to see myself and my department laid off. Last week I tested out working in the office again for the first time since last March. I thought I would love it again. I ended up hating every second of it- wasting time on commute, paying for parking, no where to eat, office was lonely, water cooler talk wasted my productivity. It was exhausting to be “on” in person the entire time. I couldn’t bring myself to go back this week. I didn’t realize wfh allows me to enjoy my job and gives me the time to balance life and friends outside of my job.

I absconded in the month of April (informed to Manager) and he asked to resign officially and then abscond so I did the same. Now Officially I am out of company in the last week of July(as per notice period it was LWD). And in first week of Aug they send me email stating give reason in writting for absentism or else they will take disciplinary action(may be termination) so what is going on? why would any company bother to take disciplinary action post last working day?any other thoughts please
