I started practicing at the height of COVID and I’ve been trying to relax a little bit more now that things have loosened up a bit, but I just heard yesterday that COVID might spike again during the holiday traveling season, and I had such a hard time sleeping last night because I felt so anxious. Is it reasonable to ask for three weeks before joining a new company? I was thinking a two week notice and a week vacation to take a breath. What do you think ?

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Recruiter and mgr had great things to say around growth and opportunity, which doesn’t align with feedback from the bowls or Glassdoor.

Would like advice! Currently 21 years old, at a fintech, ~2 YOE (I did some ops work while in college), current base salary is $77K (I commute into the office 3+ days a week in NYC) with other benefits like fully paid benefits, a 4% 401K match, got an RSU grant, unlimited PTO, wifi / gym stipends and a $6K sign on bonus.
