Anyone ever have experience negotiating a new offer to include unvested 401k match and stock grants from your current employer? I hate leaving money on the table but there are some good roles out there. I’m not fully vested in my current 401k yet and my stock grants haven’t matured yet either. This would be at a global director level.

Hi folks, I had a quick question around remote work. My office is in San Francisco but I worked remotely from NJ for clients on the WC. How should I answer the question, “did you earn income working remotely by providing the services in a different state than the state you originally engaged employment with it”? If it matters, I never set foot in CA.

I am looking to buy a residential plot of land in FL for investment or for building a second home in 10-15 years. What could be potential costs other than annual county taxes? Do I expect higher taxes as land gets developed e.g. curbs/sidewalks/sewerage/water connections, etc. Currently live in Midwest. Any advice will be appreciated.

I’m moving to a state that has high taxes and a state capital gains tax (New York). My new job also gives RSUs.

Had a quick question on fidelity 529 plans for those that are doing it for kids college. Our first is only three months old and we plan to aggressively contribute for 4 years and then let off the gas pedal so we can switch to the next one for another four years. In terms of protecting investment growth as the kids approach graduation, how do you dial back the growth strategy to protect from a recession like parents had in 2008?
