I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. Random thought... My gay male context plus the pandemic has amplified the "this isn't worth it" view of my unbalanced work life balance. I am never going to have kids and don't need to keep grinding for the next promotion etc. like my head of household peers with children. Do you feel the non-traditional household / income demands that LGBTQIA+ we live with are making you more easily say "enough is enough" with work as the valuation of our time has increased during the pandemic? 🤔
