Sweatshop Austin standard or sweatshop NYC standard? There might be a difference?

I have friends who work there as creatives and yes, it is.
I have a friend who used to worked there. It’s a sweatshop, and unlike NY, if you get out late from work everything will be closed in Austin.
Everyone I know who has worked there says that
New York hustle with southern hospitality is the credo.
It’s really bad. And not just Austin bad. I have heard horror stories from a friend who moved from NYC to work there.
My friend who worked there said 8pm was the earliest she ever went home.
A sweaty swirl. But the swag is cool! Right?
Lots of agencies are sweatshops. The question is, would you be willing to sweat for a couple years and make your career? If not, don’t bother with places like Preacher. I decided to do it at another agency, I added a lot of awards and gotten a lot of book pieces in a short time and I’ll take that to the bank in my next gig.
