I got through all the rounds of interviews (including 2 technical panels) at CrowdStrike before being assured that I was nearing the end of the process and was expected to receive an offer soon… almost two weeks ago now? Anyone else experienced this kind of delay from CS or similarly sized organizations? Did I get ghosted? Anything more I should be doing?

Someone I know had her final pwc interview on June 8, got verbal on June 12, and still has no offer in hand.. D1 is right. Outside of campus, recruiting falls apart
I had an excellent, fluid and expedient experience.
I had a poor experience with PWC as well. I had a poor experience with KPMG too but I still work here ;)
I think once you get outside of the campus recruiting channel big4 start to fall apart with recruiting.
P&O?
Just wait till you work here lol
Lol for what it's worth, I had a terrible experience recruiting. But I love working here
OP - the excuse was that the offer was stuck in approval. Then the firm shutdown last week, with no communication. Yesterday she heard that she should have the offer by tomorrow end of day. Still ridiculous if you ask me
@P5 I’m flabbergasted at that. Why would you wait *that* long? What was the excuse? Clearly they don’t want to hire the person to not have an offer in hand.
I had a surprisingly poor experience with Google.
I’ve had terrible experiences with recruiters across firms. McK was perhaps the worst. It really depends on the recruiter and team.
Other thing I’ll say is that lining up interviewers (and making them care) for mid career hires is always a challenge.
I’m a bit over it at this point, frankly. Probably just stay put and make a move in the spring 🤷🏻♀️
Yup 60+ emails back and forth with the recruiter. Had to chase him down at every stage despite partners finishing interviews very positively
If you’re looking at public sector I’m not surprised
@P6 Sure. The practice of verbally offering someone then going radio silent is highly unprofessional though. At best, you simply lose talent and don’t get a bunch of negative reviews on Glassdoor and word of mouth to their network. At worst, you build up anxiety for a recruit (whom you want to come on board and work hard, right?) and when they get here they’re still recovering from the BS they were out through. Beyond that, holding someone up like that puts their plans in limbo. It’s not the right way to treat people or do business, that’s all.
I had a similar experience when I came over last year. Our experienced recruiting team is awful
Most of the experienced recruiters are contractors who know very little about the firm and are only around for the season. They are brought in en-mass when the firm needs to go on a hiring blitz. If you aren’t getting what you should be getting, reach out to the client service people since they stay more consistent and can help follow up.
Update: EOD Wednesday came and went. No offer or contact. Recruiters 🙄🙄🙄
🤐
What kind of issues you faced?
@P3 simply put, Inconsistent and generally poor communication.
