How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.
Any suggestion how to buy a stock pre-ipo?
I had already applied for a position with Infy in the portal and could see many related positions for aws in Infosys but im not getting any calls.
Even the portal not allowing to apply multiple positions. What is the best way to get calls from Infosys in this case ?

I try to use friends. Like hey friends. But it has its own downside, which is that most of the people I talk to are not my friends.

I, too, am creeped out by a co-worker who does this.

It’s ridiculous that we have to walk on eggshells about this. Look at the spirit of the intention, which is to refer to all as one, unified group. All positive. In this context nothing to do with ‘men.’ It’s not like using a word like ‘chicks’ which is quite different.
Are you a woman? Are you offended by this? If not your opinion doesn’t matter
I feel sorry for anyone who actually is offended by "you guys."
NO. People need to stop making this a thing. Ya’ll makes people outside of the South sound like absolute morons. You guys is universal.
Good thing I sounded like an absolute moron before I started throwing “y’all” into my emails. 😶

In emails I typically write “Hi all,”
In speech my go to is “Hi everyone” or “Hi team”
Easy enough.
Same here!
I’m a woman and I’m not offended by it. I say it all the time too but always feel guilty about it if I say it to an all female team.
As a woman, I have no problem being addressed as you guys as part of a group.
As a man I also have no problem with is because I don’t find it offensive to be called a guy it’s just a colloquialism dude, lighten up.
Every time a straight man asks whether or not "guys" is gender neutral, I ask him if he'd sleep with a guy.
No, but as a Californian I’ve slept with dudes.
(sorry but,)
Sloth grew up with The Electric Company 😁
It’s probably due to growing up with Southerners who actually used “y’all” daily, but when anyone not Southern says it, especially in the advertising world and especially in LA and NY, it feels like they’re play acting, and they know they’re play acting, and it just sounds ridiculous and forced.
Same boat O1. The New Yorkers who don’t know I have a southern background and think my occasional y’all is somehow acting (to what end I’m curious?) should chat with my relatives who give me a hard time about my “New York accent” after living here for 10 years. You cant win. I’ve honestly never consciously given any thought to the way I speak… except to swear that I’ll never convert to standing “on” line.
I am a woman. I’m not offended by saying ‘you guys’. I say ‘you guys’. I will not stop saying ‘you guys’.
I’ve switched to “ya’ll”. Every time I use it I feel like that “hello fellow kids” meme.

What about "y'allo there"
I feel bad about using “you guys” too, but it’s such a hard habit to break. I’ve tried “ya’ll” but it doesn’t feel right.
Yo “SVP” some of us ARE hillbillies

It used to be more accepted, but language has evolved. It's good now to change it up from time to time with "you people" or "you girls."
As a cis-female, I don’t have a problem with you guys. However, those that are non-binary, trans, and queer may find offense to it. A trans female that has fought to gain acceptance as a woman is now referred to in “you GUYS” - think about it. It’s hard to stop, but I’ve started using “you all” “hi/bye all/everyone”
It’s completely contextual. I still say you guys when addressing a group of people even if the majority identify as female. I know what I mean. You know what I mean. If you choose to see it as offensive or as exclusive to only males when you know very well that it’s not what it means then that’s on you.
Are you looking for permission to continue using "you guys"? Because it'll offend some people, you know this by now. Don't let those who are not offended try and justify why others shouldn't be offended. Just decide whether you care about offending people.
Ive been trying to actively cut it out of my vocabulary in those situations but have been told by women it’s not an issue also. So.
Southern vocabulary now sets the tone of equality in a conversation. The end is near, y’all.
Of all the things in the world to be offended by, “you guys” should not make the list.
