Are Long Term Care Insurance Plan and Disability Insurance worthwhile? Do you need both?

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

1YOE medical device NPI Lead looking for salary perspective

Mechanical engineering grad, joined a medical device startup that I had done co-ops at. 8mo into full-time, pivoted from engineering into more of an operations role doing new product introduction (NPI), now with 3 direct reports.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My investments below:
* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?

Took the plunge and took a 2 month break from work to finally get my PPL. No clue how I would’ve done this without the break. Passed medical, written, and already have 6 hours! I’m doing an accelerated program with a small school in California to knock this out in a few weeks. So far so good!

I lateraled six months ago and it’s not for me. My mental health is non-existent and I have a substantial amount of savings. Am I crazy to just leave and try and focus on getting back to normal for a while? Would a medical leave be warranted or is it best to just resign?

I’ve been working for big 4 firm for 3yrs now w barely any raise in sight. My performance increased tremendously but for whatever reason I got the same increase this yr as my first yr w the firm (and my increase was only cost of living abt 3%) Looking elsewhere but I feel undervalued already and have an overall dismal view of everything. Can’t save enough to buy a home because I’m paying off medical bills, but luckily family is helping. (to be cont)

Recently 1 of my clients initiated open PTO policy. The transition from set leave balance to open was smooth process. However we are running into dilemma of how we standardize different types of leaves and whether there will be a limitation to how much open PTO is used at one time. For leisure, we just limit taking two weeks max at one time. However if we have volunteer policy or bereavement policy how should we standardize it? If EE is out for longterm sick, how do we standardize time paid?

This is in regards with my resignation. I have resigned on 22nd March (LWD : 22 June ) on medical grounds. Since then, my hr has asked for my prescriptions and medical certificates to give me an early release.

But yesterday, She is stating that my lwd is revised to 18th April with a clause that since my release is on medical grounds I can't join any other orgs before 22june. If joined, there will be problem in background verification.

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. I had 10 slots to choose from. I took the first slot available. Three were one day earlier this week and the rest are next week. Upper management's direction is to put together the most aggressive deadlines we can. If we think a project will take 16 months, make the plan for 10 months then there's a chance we may launch in 13 months.
