Many have annual reviews around this time of year, so getting hired roughly around the beginning of a performance year can help as you’re more likely to be bonus/raise/promotion eligible on the next review with a year under your belt than if you had just joined a few months prior to reviews.

When I mean a good time to get hired, I mean am I more likely to get hired in the spring/summer

Spring for big D

I know I know. Just having some fun. Right now is a good time here as well.

Now is a great time

I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.

I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.

Any advice or similar experience?

Big 4 folks how much of the work at your strategy practices are PMO type of work? I feel like most of the projects in my firm are just being a PMO for hire for a client project. No real strategic work a such. I'm still entry level though so just want to see if this is how the industry will be going ahead.

Hey friends! So I left PwC (risk assurance, did a bit of consulting) about 4 years ago for industry, and have been working in supply chain ever since for a major retailer. Recently, a recruiter from Protiviti reached out to talk to me about open roles in supply chain consulting, and I’m trying to decide if this would be a good move or not. I know it wouldn’t be quite the same as the hours as big 4, but I don’t know enough to be sure if it’s the right fit. Any advice?

I’ve been reading more about how there’s a difference between how men socialize and how women socialize at work. There’s a school of thought that says that men are “friends” outside of work with their coworkers so they are more likely to lift each other at work. Women however are more likely to separate their work friends and their social friends. I think I fall in this group. Cont in comment
