I have an offer from Walmart but I'm also interviewing at Meta. I'm midway through the Meta process but there's still a long way to go and I don't want to rush through it unprepared. Both are for a Data Scientist position. Any suggestions on how to deal with a situation like this? Walmart Facebook (Meta)

KPMG I’m confused on your referral process. Had a friend refer me before I made an account, made an account, applied to two jobs and got rejected (that’s fine). But if I want to apply to a third job, will it still be under her referral or do I need a new referral? (She said she can’t refer me again for 12 months) I’m not even sure if I applied correctly under her referral. The first two jobs I applied for were through talent community as I normally would without a referral. Help, I’m so lost :(

Grow the fuck up you millenial, shit like this happens everywhere
Everyone I hear this happened to is from PAS..
OP you have do to you. Take the feedback you got to heart. Try to understand the point of view of your practice. It might not reflect reality, but it might reflect a perception that you're not ready. If after reflection you still think you're not being valued, then make a move. It's no one's career but yours. However, if there's some truth to that feedback, make an action plan on how to address each of those concerns for next year. Even if you leave, you'll end up in the same spot a year later if you don't improve on your weaknesses.
Had multiple senior managers and partners in support, was on 8 different proposals, assisted on extra client projects on top of my own. Great reviews. Literally just feels like I worked my ass off for nothing and now I have to do it again to get promoted.
Should be more to it than that, but if you're unsatisfied with your job you should start looking
PAS- apparently not because I'm also not the only one it happened too even though I had a very strong year and have been acting as a senior for over 6 months now. Pretty frustrating.
Year 2 though...were you well rounded in the E&D? Did you have partner support? Sometimes you need to strong-arm network these promotions through, but lessons learned, good luck brother. To everyone else, constructive advice or shut up. So tired of the petty criticism, actual adults don't berate other people for being "millennials" it's a question any on millennial would pose too.
OP what practice are you in? Shouldn't all second year staff be a lock for senior 1?
Wow that sucks OP I'm sorry. What reason did they give you?
My first year my utilization wasn't great so I didn't have enough "valuable client experience"
PAS strikes again. Get out
Are you guys promoted every two years? For us it's three years.
Usually @PWC2
I'd appeal, talk to the partners
Appeal won't do much at this point
Beta
PwC2: for us it's 2 years to senior, then 3 (usually) to Manager
I been hearing that quite a few staff 2's have been forced to take another lap this year
OP I experienced something similar my first year but fortunately I was not passed over for promotion this year. I think you just have to realize that there are all these forces acting behind the scenes and it certainly isn't a fair or transparent process. Utilization is frequently cited as a reason but we all know it's a BS reason because even when we're not chargeable most of us are busting ass in pursuits and internal work (which it seems like you did). If the work isn't selling it's really luck of the draw who ends up staffed on whatever does sell. But I'm sure you already know this.
