Wondering if buying out my lease and trading for another lease might be good arbitrage opportunity. Let’s say buyout price is $30k and trade in value is $35k, what’s the best way to go about getting into another lease? If I pay cash, I don’t want to roll all that equity into the next lease. I don’t want to sell private and then be on the hook for tax either. Any ideas?

While we're all taking a breather during this crypto-winter, I'd like to submit some ground rules for the next bull-run.

For consideration:

🌙 = per 100%+ over the last 24 hours

I just don't have it in me to see "🚀🚀🚀🌙🌙🌙" for a 5% gain.

Anybody take the leap and quit without another job? I have plenty of savings, just worried about finding the right job after a few months break. Would love to hear experiences good or bad.

I am working from EU since last year (internal transfer from India), also doing freelancing for an another startup since last 2 years and the payment is going to Indian account.
My employer assigned a tax consulting company in India to support me in filing tax, somehow the tax consulting firm found that bank account via AIS document (not sure how they get it in that doc), as they found some interest credited for that saving account. Will I be in trouble? will I have to pay penalty :(?

I’m a lawyer based in Europe. I’m lateraling to a firm in a new jurisdiction on Monday and negotiated a decent pay increase a few months ago (new jurisdiction has significantly higher income taxes so negotiated based on a comparable net pay). My old firm has just announced it is increasing salaries by around 15% which will almost negate what I negotiated at new firm. New firm doesn’t review salaries till September. What are my options here so that I’m not out of pocket?

No swiping needed. You create activities you want to do and users nearby send you requests to join. Not sure what you want to do? I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. Yet, his parents and others would view him as “lazy” but he does his job and makes a fantastic living. Time>Money and Results>Hours

My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??
