Is the American Express gold and/or Platinum worth the annual fee?

Gold yes - $120 credit from Uber eats and $120 credit from Grubhub/Seamless , also so many times I get solid discounts in Amazon whenever I use AmEx Card. There are so many offers which keep popping up like get up to $10 when you use AmEX in Apple Pay etc.

Platinum I can’t say that unless you are frequent flier, traveler using airport lounge, hotels etc.

like

Platinum used to be a great deal for travelers, but they've killed it over the past few years for me with the fee hikes sand dropped benefits.

like

Platinum is awesome, the benefits pay for the fee and then there’s a ton of points

like

Agree with this. I easily get $1000 in benefit a year. This comes from hotel credit, the bonus offers, Uber credits, cell phone credit, streaming service credit, etc.

Platinum is worth it for me. I use the saks credit, Uber credits, fly through airports with centurion lounges. I usually make sure to use the hotel credit. The airline credit is the hardest for me because I have status so not many incidental fees. I pay my cell phone bill with it because it apparently gives damage protection.

like

Platinum - yes with no doubt.
Gold - not so much.

If you travel the platinum benefits pay for the fees. $100 dining or spa credits, early/late check in/out, room upgrades, and airport lounge access.

I had both and the gold benefits I didn’t find as useful.

Or since they’re flying me out and I have to get home anyway, is it ok?

Looking for a great non-fiction, relating to travel or world history (not just one moment in time). Could also be about the marketing world or memoirs of a business leader kinda thing.

Fiction wise I also like fantasy, paranormal, and romance. Some fave book series are the Black Gryphon from Mercedes Lackey, Game of Thrones, and From Jamaica Lane series. Similar books?
