Back from the can. What'd I miss?
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

We’re hiring at Gunderson! I lateraled about 6 months ago from a V20 and this was the best career move I could’ve made at this juncture - still staying in BigLaw (so BigLaw salary + bonus structure) with an actual work/life balance to live and enjoy life. Happy to answer any questions.
@Associate 2, what’s your practice? I’ve more or less assumed big law corporate means no real WLB (especially as you get more senior). Do they just staff matters better to share the load?
My firm still hiring mids in most corporate practices with remote an option. Feel free to DM.
It’s still hot. All legal markets are desperately seeking corporate associates, especially mid-levels. Which city are you in?
Depends on your practice but I know Goodwin is looking as well
I’m firm is definitely looking and allows fully remote if that’s your thing.
My firm is also looking and offering bonuses from my understanding
V hot. We’ve poached two NEPs in the last month, and other associates in my group keep getting calls from recruiters.
Very hot we have lots of positions open
Workloads do seem to be slowing down, but frankly there has also been a lot of attrition in the past year, so lots of firms remain short handed, particularly in the midlevel ranks. One recent lateral to my firm noted how half of the associates the lateral spoke to while interviewing had left.
