Is the market over reacting to Snapchat forecast guidance? Or is there a underlying serious problem (growth and profitability) for social media and tech companies. Very concerned here as my portfolio is down 35%…. I can stomatch that (all 2018-2021 gains wiped out), I am not prepared for another leg down of 20-35%.

I wouldn’t be in anything that doesn’t make a profit. With that said a lot of the companies not making a profit are already down 60%. FAANG+M have also peaked their growth rates so terminal value is declining which puts a lot of pressure on the stock price. So the market won’t go down 20% more but some individual tech stocks will if they are still higher than pre-covid

funny

If any of the fangs miss market will have a meltdown. Easy to have a 20% leg down because how overweight fangs are.

I’m looking to purchase a home. I have enough for 20% down and I qualify for a traditional mortgage but my dad suggested he lend me the full cash to make the sale that way I have more negotiating room and can close faster. Then once I close I can refinance it and keep 20% in the house and pay my dad back for the 20%. Is there a downside to this? Will it get messy?

Company on track for 22 goals. Traditionally included 2% profit sharing at YE, this year however comes with a unique caveat.

The CEO added a qualifier, to be eligible for the payout one must agree to and sign a binding arbitration agreement. In the CEOs email to staff he indicates these agreements are standard in most companies and typically required for new hires.

I’m curious to get insight from others. Is this standard practice and generally required for new hires? Something feels off.
