I have cleared the first round of the interview with Seimens and my second round is next week. This first one was an online technical round and the second one is a face to face interview on site for which they have asked me to fly down to Bangalore (cost reimbursed). The HR said that there are only two rounds.
I felt that my first round didn't go so well but they still called me for a second. What should I expect from this?Siemens

And good is a bit relative. Some audiences will think you walk in water while others won’t look 2x. Even when you are good it’s a numbers game.
How’s your portfolio? I refreshed most of my site a couple months back and it’s definitely helped.
Awesome. Good luck on your search!
Probably depends on where you live as well, but definitely a rough market. Most companies I know including my own froze hiring 😞
You may already be doing this - but one benefit may be more access to out of state jobs that are now remote.
That’s a good point, I’m going to keep my eye open for those too!
I think different job types are trying to recover from the pandemic at different rates. I’ve noticed it’s been slow to pick back up for graphic design in particular though.
It also might have something to do with where you are and how many jobs are available there when the market is more “normal.” Everything is super competitive right now because so many people are unemployed.
A lot of places are hiring for remote positions and are open to hiring from different states. So even if you’re somewhere like NYC or SF where there are normally loads of opportunities, it couldn’t hurt to apply to places outside of your city?
I’m in NYC so I would assume there are still plenty of positions, but also plenty more unemployed so makes sense. I’m going to start looking into some remote positions out of state too! Thank you.
