I feel that it is not a well-paid career, the number of risks of losing your life or losing a part of yourself, whether physical or mental, is very high, also when you become a non-functional person for the army you are discarded, the best What you can do is train well and when you no longer advance in your military career, go to the private sector.
Actually, everything depends on the promotions and the rank you reach, if you get a good position before your retirement you will live in peace, but there are many risks in a military career.
It is a very demanding career for low salaries, I have always said that it is a career more for vocation than an economic solution for a long life.
I feel that the military career, beyond being well or poorly paid, is a lifestyle, it is something that, if taken in the right way, will set a precedent for you and your family in the development of your life, and the best way to have a stable economic life is giving your best and achieving rank promotions.
I recommend that if what you are looking for is economic stability for your whole life, you dedicate yourself to something else, there are really many soldiers who live well but there are many more who do not, so there is no guarantee of success.
If you just plan to be a military without any degree, I would say its not paid well. But if you get a degree in the army you might find other jobs that are well-paid!
