If you’re in the field of OCM, it’s good to have in your back pocket. A lot of consulting firms and clients are beginning to see the value in people having it.
That said, don’t expect it to make you become some glorified change practitioner. Prosci gives you the foundational knowledge on change management - but it’s just that - foundational material. Leverage that content to build on your own or firm’s methodology for your clients.
If the firm is paying for it - take advantage of that! It’s not a useless certification by any means.

If you aren't paying for it, absolutely. Just adding it to your LinkedIn will generate interest from recruiters.
And it looks really good on your resume slide for proposals. Clients like to see it.
Prosci is really hot right now because it's one of the few change management methodologies that works well in an agile implementation. I think there's a lot to like with it, but sometimes it's not detailed enough. All in all, it's more useful as a credential for you than as a tool for client delivery.
+100 to what everyone else said above. In practice, an assessment oriented methodology will tell you how to figure out that a change project needs a comms plan....but won't tell you how to go about writing or executing said comms plan.
The time commitment is not extensive at all - nowhere near even what PMP requires. When I did the in-person version 2 years ago, it was 2 full classroom days plus half-day on the third, so you could very easily work a full day at work on Monday, be OOO Tues-Thurs, and come back to work Friday all certified and stuffs.
Agree with the details above. Good foundation but also need to find a way to truly go beyond all the up front assessments and make change really stick. Also not always the best use case if you aren’t brought in at the beginning of the change and are trying to backfill and deploy.
