Yes - see last week. The average person can still profit greatly from the market, just steer clear from any future GME like pushes and you won’t be as blatantly affected.

I wouldn’t get in a game of chicken with a hedge fund and expect a fair fight, but invest your money in good companies for the long run and no one should mess with you too much

Now you know.

Not in the long run

Don’t be discouraged to invest... not saying it’s a level playing field. But don’t lose the opportunity to grow your wealth. With the lawsuits, congress and sec looking at things, we can hope there will be change, may be we will move to a decentralized system to execute stock buys.
Stick to your investment plan, it worked for you so far, don’t let this discourage you.

Has anybody broken employee contact specifically for HCA?
On my contract, it states that I need to stay for 2 years with HCA. If I don't I will have to pay back 4K for the Nurse Residency Program.

Does anyone have experience with not paying them back?

P.S. I have been with HCA for one year, and I can not do it anymore.

And what would be the reasons I could miss out on the job after having a 30 min final interview (FIT) with the senior director

How do people save for a down payment on a house? My SO and I make a combined 130k salary, currently rent a 1br apt for $2250/mo, have other debts of 600/mo and 15k in savings. Neither of us have been able to save much since we started to rent the apt (6 months ago). I want to stop "wasting" money on rent and build equity in a home, lay down roots, start a family, but I feel I/we will never be able to save enough for a down payment (NY prices, 400-500k). Starting to feel hopeless &stretched thin

I'm a noob with bonds, can someone break down ibonds for me in idiot proof language?

Per what I'm reading the interest rate is 9.62% if I buy through Oct 2022. It's a 30 year investment, but I can withdraw after 5 years without 3 month penalty.

Questions:
(1) Is the interest rate fixed or variable over the term of the bond?
(2) Assuming 9.62% is annual return but definitely want to confirm 🤣
(3) Do most people actually keep it in 30 years? I'm looking at 5 years for now and re-assess
