Is the SW A-list worth pursuing? Also, is it a godly way to go after the companion pass?

A-list and A-list preferred are both kinda meh. The only difference between the two are you get a 100% earning bonus (compared to 25%) on points and free in-flight wifi.
The Companion Pass is arguably the best perk in the industry. If you have a SO/spouse/frequent travel buddy it is amazing.
If you want to get it but can't get to 110k points by flying alone - my advice is get the credit card around the start of the year. Look for the promos for a 50k or 60k signing bonus and you're almost halfway there.

like

Yep that's correct. It's not impossible, especially if you can book Anytime or Biz Select tix that earn more points. Been flying DEN > KC semi-frequently and I'll just got mine again for next year.

like

Thanks WM1, so, is the best time to get the SW cards around December then?

like

You have to spend $2k on the card in your first 90 days so as long as you don't hit that target before the beginning of the year, get it when you want. If you clear it on 12/31/17 then those points won't count towards next year. Like I said earlier, watch for the promos.

like

U can rack up points crazy fast on SW and very easy to use hem, no inventory limitations. I'm also Global Services and I get more value out of my Alist preferred. On every one way I earn 6k-12k pts and then I redeem them for a one way ... basically a free flight with every flight!!

like

Thanks for the response K1. The points from the flights don't roll over annually , correct? So, getting to 110k has to be done in a single year?

I agree with KPMG User 1. I just earned companion through points and it's amazing. I'm also a list preferred and the only real perk is the points bonus which will help me maintain companion. Definitely get the credit card at the beginning of the year and use it for everything. If you earn companion in say April of 2018, you get it for the remainder of that year AND all of the following year. Best perk in the industry IMO!

Any companies hiring in the healthcare rev cycle space?

I’ve been working in a surgical subspecialty as a new grad PA for the past 4 months in FL. I make 95k but the work life balance is poor and I’m expected to work overtime every week (~5 hrs and often take work home too) AND take unpaid call for a month on a rotating schedule (every 2 months). The SP is a condescending nightmare. Should I start looking elsewhere now or get at least a year in? I am starting to feel burned out already.

Hedge Withdrawals

Open a position on FTX and an opposing position on another exchange (perhaps Binance for the irony) for the same financial exposure. If the position on FTX profits, keep trading. You’ve successfully withdrawn funds using a hedge. You’re welcome.
