How much money do you guys give for weddings?
Anyone here take the day off?
I have a dear friend who was recent laid off from a tech company. I’m currently in my first in-house counsel position and was able to secure the job off of cold applying and don’t really have much advice to give. I really want to help support. I know about goinhouse.com and I know people say recruiters (I never found them helpful so wondering how). How did you find your gig? Sites? Been laid off and how to bounce back? Thanks!

Yes there's value in getting it but the company ain't gonna pay you more because you've got it. It's more valuable externally when changing jobs.
It's value internally is to get you off the bench.
I think Tableau is more common tbh
Tableau's dominance is waning. The freemium model of powerbi, the relative ease of learning, and integration with excel is changing the balance rapidly. Both have different strengths and weaknesses. If you can, learn both.
I know people who've excelled with powerbi as their day job and now consult and train using powerbi as their core skill from which to make money.
This is the real story about technical skills, it males you lore employable to a wider number of employers, but you cannot make a career about being the "powerbi" guy.
Either become a coder or switch to management before it is expected.
Ok but op nobody is going to pay u extra because you’re good at PowerBI…
