Is there a benefit to using a Hcg trigger shot over a Lupron trigger shot? I’ve heard that Lupron is better to mitigate the risk of OHSS so not sure why hcg would ever be preferred over Lupron. Would appreciate any insights anyone can share

Is it a thing where your body goes through withdrawal, if you don’t exercise for one day? I do a mix of HIIT running and weights a few times a week. If I don’t work out, I feel kind of dizzy, fatigued...but if I go exercise I immediately feel better.

I think my partner is making my eating disorder worse. It seems like he is very conscious of weight or at least looks, and I feel like he often tries to deter me from eating (like if I mention a late lunch he'll reply that we're having dinner soon so to hold off). I'm not sure if he is even aware of it, but he knows about my issues so it makes me wonder. My ED also runs rampant so it could be all in my head. Does anyone have experience dealing with this? I want to say something but not sure how.

I’m extremely bad at managing my stress. Every time I stress out, I start spiraling and I can’t help it. Then I end up with a headache or migraine and no motivation.

I always thought mid life crisis was when you get to mid life and realize you are never going to be all you thought you would be.

I turned out better than I imagined on all dimensions, and I’ve discovered a different kind of midlife crisis. The “ok, so now what?” Crisis.

I have a manager that does not seem to understand mental illnesses, disorders, etc. He thinks I am making excuses rather than trying to explain things (I have diagnosed ADHD, anxiety, and depression) and I’m trying to take ownership for issues but also help him understand what I am describing better as well. We are sitting down for a conversation later this week. Any advice on how to gently educate or help with his understanding of neurodivergence and other mental health considerations?

I was checking and comparing healthcare costs for the two companies my spouse and I work for. For me with HSA it is around $900 per month for just Medical, Vision and Dental. For my wife (with HSA) it is $300 per month. Both have $3000 deductible. My out of pocket max is $14000 while my wife’s is $7000. All of these numbers are for a family of 4. Why do we have such a huge difference in healthcare costs for similar coverage? My wife’s company is 30K employees and my company is 300K employees.

Hi! Does anyone have any pet insurance recs? My dog is 3 yo, healthy, small chihuahua/Boston terrier mix. He’s had surgery on one of his legs and now has a plate in there that the doctors say might bother him when he gets older. But not an issue for the foreseeable future. Tips for returning to work post-sickness? Whole family has been juggling RSV, flu, and Covid for awhile and I’m trying to get back to work and feel a lot of anxiety about it. I lateraled a few months ago, so I’m still on a high learning curve and don’t know the best way to approach getting back into a rhythm. I WFH, fwiw, but haven’t clocked in for almost a week due to all the illness, hospital and urgent care visits, etc.

I was in a very bad shape last year (major anxiety episodes, OCD flares, panic attacks) and now I'm MUCH better. I feel like one thing that helped through it was for the first time in my life opening myself to experience my spiritual side (not talking religion here).

I feel like now that i feel better overall, I'm disregarding that part of me but wishing i still had that drive to feed my spiritual self. Any ideas on how to bring it back to my life in a way that doesn't really feel forced?

Hi, I’m 30yrs old and by next week I will be 31yrs old. Got married 2 yrs ago and we have been trying for kids from past 7 months but no luck, we try to have sex almost all 7 days of fertile window. I get my periods regularly, I don’t have thyroid nor PCOD. My Gyn did all test, and everything looks fine, my ovaries, Fallopian tubes , harmonies. Do I need to see fertility doctor ,if so, how is the best fertility doctor near Boston area. Need inputs for next steps before it’s too late 😒

I had a fertility assessment appt at Weill Cornell (I’m 36) and they did an ultrasound and blood check but the doc said they didn’t count my follicle counts on ultrasound and they’d do it prior to the start of my egg freezing process. I’m actually not sure yet if i want to do it yet and the reason I went to the doc is to see how’s my fertility right now. Isn’t follicle count check via ultrasound one of main fertility assessments along with AMH?
