Don’t partners have to put up X amount of their own cash when they make partner?
Not for partners/principals. You’re no longer a salaried employee. Your earnings do get adjusted and eventually go up, but the first couple of years, what you take home is not substantially different.
Ha! Who ever expects to get a two digit bonus here?
Just to clarify, there’s no bonus for making it to Partner, but SMs who were promoted the year they made it, still got PBB since it was for the year ending, which probably what you mean. I haven’t heard that they changed it, but maybe I missed the email.
Wait, EY is not giving bonuses?
Partner 1 that’s my question. PBB is for prior performance year and PPEDs all talk about using their final bonus to splurge. But recent PBB email said “no PBB if promoted to Partner Principal as of 7/1” which I think is new this year. They essentially just took the largest staff bonus I would ever get at highest rating and salary and took it to $0???
EY1 depends on your rank.
@M1 if PPEDs promotes aren’t getting a bonus, Managers shouldn’t expect a 2 digit one either
🙁 I did because I came from Deloitte where that's standard
Oh, EY1. You sweet summer child. 😂
Trust me - if you’re getting partner, you will be just fine financially.
Haha yes I know but up until last year newly promoted partners got the PBB, this year that means losing out on up to $40k in cash 💰
