Is there a book/resource on private equity partnership accounting specifically focusing on master feeder structure, how cash flows are accounted (ROC, capital gains, Interest Income) as well as auditor’s perspective in verification of data?

Are you responsible for giving performance feedback? Avoid giving personality based feedback. Examples include telling an Asian person they are too quiet/shy or telling a Black person they are agressive/abrasive. DO NOT DO THIS. It clearly represents bias in Performance Management. Performance feedback should be tied to business outcomes with clear examples of what the person does well + how they can improve.

Trying to apply for another position at the same company but my boss told me explicitly that if they find out people on our team are looking for other jobs, they will stop giving that person raises, promotions, bonuses, & access to opportunities. I have spoken with the hiring manager for the new position and he just asked me if I have notified my current manager. Not sure how to navigate this tricky situation. Was hoping to interview before having to tell my manager that I am applying. Ideas?

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Hi, Is it mandatory to serve 90 days of Notice Period? Or can we negotiate on the LWD?

We have traveled internationally, visited kid theme parks multiple times, hang out with friends and family, work out of the office, kid is in school, etc etc. I know the number is very small, but I was wondering how many other fishes out there have never tested positive either.

Looking for Marketing Operations Consultation projects.

Leaving Sprinklr and planning to start consulting as there are so many companies out there struggling to implement Hubspot, Marketo, Web Ops, Email marketing, leadflow automation, lead routing, lead scoring based on intent and PLG for growth.

I have experience working at Zoho, Freshworks and Zuddl as well. I can help you implement GTM or DemandGen to help you grow and scale without only relying on paid channels.

Creating in-house vs side hustle:

After years working in a particular vertical, I’ve developed a framework that allows me to quickly research, size, prioritize and produce inputs for organic growth. It’s different from anything I’ve directly on/done while working at any company, and I’m tempted to build an MVP with a freelancer but scared of my employer finding out, expecting me to building it in-house (taking ownership) /file any type of (legal) complaint against me. Recs/thoughts?

Hi guys. Quite tensed regarding the tax that I would need to pay for my salary. So I have posted my offered compensation by IBM .
So my taxable income is: 16,50,000(Income) - Standard Deduction(50,000) - 80C Deductions(1,50,000) - Interest on Edu Loan(48,500) - Professional tax(2400)
= 13,99,100.
So anyone who is familiar with this tax deduction, can u plz tell me how much tax I would need to pay per month?
Any valuable input would be of immense help.

Hi fellow PE fishes, seeking career advice.
Currently in an APAC based LMM/MM PE focusing on tech and had joined the firm straight out of school. I intend on sticking to PE long term, but am curious about my career and financial trajectory in 3 cases.

1) stick to my current firm and eventually make partner

2) go for a Master’s degree and then move to an UMM/MF PE or MBB -> UMM/MF

3) Stay in the current firm and start my own fund with other Associates in the future.
