Just got offered a job by my audit client in a really cool position they are creating. the role would be at least a 45% raise. Ahhhh what to do next. So conflicted
Just heard back from my manager that I was promoted!! And my manager told me the raise would start from Apr so I should expect to see a bit extra on my pay check. The question is last time when I got promoted, I was told the same thing that the salary was increased before I was being told about the good news. However, I didn’t see that pay anywhere. I emailed payroll but didn’t hear anything back. I wonder how this kind of things go with you girls. Any suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated!!
My District decided to initiate a “no zero policy” starting now. I was informed by administration that when a student does not turn in their work, I still have to give the student a fifty percent even though that student didn’t earn it. I teach sixth graders and I am not sure how I feel about this. Any words of advice?
Friendly reminder to please stop telling your female coworkers that don’t want children “to just wait a few years - you’ll change your mind”. 😡
I was offered a job in DC that's a pretty steep raise for me, but to be honest, I don't feel comfortable living in the city proper. I don't agree with the mandates, and I've heard crime is super high. Any advice on good areas?
I 35f make three times more than my fiancé. I also purchased the house that we both live in. He pays half the mortgage and I pay all other bills. He’s a nice guy - But I’m starting to resent the fact that I pay for the majority of our life and don’t get to feel like the woman in the relationship:(
Confirmed promotion from Project Delivery Specialist to Project Delivery Manager. Any thoughts on what to expect for a raise?
I am currently a biomedical engineer at @U.S. Food and Drug Administration with over two years of experience. I would like to hear everyone's experience navigating the GS increase (salary raise) as a government employee. Here are some questions for discussion. How long did it take you to be promoted to the next pay grade? What do you think contributed the most to that salary increase? If you transitioned into the private sector, what drove you to make this decision? Thanks!
Big Win: a while ago I posted about a man I referred to my company being offered more than my salary. I decided to wait for my annual eval/raise & trust my manager’s assessment of my work instead of bringing it up. Today, so excited to say I actually got a raise that put me way over and above that! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 thankful for supportive leadership esp bc I’m 1 junior eng woman working with 12 senior eng men!

Can we have a discussion on whether or not immigrants are paid less than their counterparts and can you share your experiences regarding this?
Deloitte 🐟 What’s the average annual salary increase for senior consultants (not promotion)?
Will bringing an offer to my current agency put a target on my back? I like my team but I’m underpaid with no raise in sight.
Hi Googlers, completed my recruiter and hiring manager interviews for a Google PM role in security. I’m not entirely sure whether this is a L5 or L6 role. I’ve luckily made it through to the next rounds of back to back interviews late next week (so I have a little time). Any suggestions on prepping or what to expect that you can shared is appreciated. Personal details, 12+ YOE between tech & cyber consulting, current M up for SM promotion, and multiple cyber certs. Thank you.
how do i ask for a raise? two years experience at same company. personally don’t think i get paid enough for what i can do for my company.
So I feel like my firm’s promotion increases are a tad low. I’m just curious to how we are comparing to the market
I'm staying at the firm but I have a job offer in industry. Should I use the offer as leverage for my raise?
Hello - got an offer from Deloitte but in the time since I had my phone screen, I got a pretty significant raise at my current firm. The D offer is at the midpoint of the range I gave - can I use this to negotiate higher?
I’m not really good at confrontation or doing anything to rock the boat, but I scheduled a call with a supervisor to go over compensation and I asked for a 20% raise today! They announce raises in March, so I’m not sure whether I’ll get it all, but I feel good for taking initiative and asking for it, rather than waiting to see what they give me. I’ve been at the same salary since I started in Oct ‘20 without even market adjustments and my supervisor said she’ll advocate for a good raise 🙌🏽

New rule - if you are on a flight that is under 4 hours, and not in the aisle seat please be a grown up and learn to hold it.
The moment my manager showed me how good she is at brown-nosing clients was the moment I knew I can't do this forever #getmeout
Started in DC, caught NYC flight, put on hold midair, sent back to DC, can't land cause 'can't find airstrip', low on fuel, 'let's try diff airport', land further south than when you woke up...#delta
Anyone know any good resources for learning to recruit out of consulting? So much info online about getting into consulting, not much about finding the best exit ops
Upvote if you're drunk as fuk on the plane 🍺🍾
Don't know about the rest of you but my new year begins today. Plan on bleeding the bank account starting today 🤑
Would you ever flirt with a resource manager to get staffed on a different project? Or is it pretty much a negative end result?
Home for two weeks! Gotta love the holidays!
How can you guys just be happy making no difference in this world at all. Oops, directed at accountants and auditors. The skill requires zero critical thinking. I am a living proof.
Since a bunch of us went to/just applied to b-school, what was your "angle"? And what's your best advice?
Desperately waiting for my first bonus check. Hope it's not a disappointment cuz let's be honest, I've spent it already.
That awkward moment at the airport when you are surrounded by army men and women and the cashier asks if you want to donate to the troops...
