Can someone working for a big 4 explain how the pension works? Like contribution, vesting, etc?

I have 6 yoe, 3 in digital 1 Corp strat and 2 accounting all at a big 4, looking at a digital transformation or technology associate role as experienced hire. Hi 🐠, I'm an intern that started at BDO this January. I will also be interning at a Big 4 this summer before graduating with a BBA this fall. Heard from some of my alumni pals that's its better to start full time in a Big 4 (better training, better brand, better exit ops etc) and then, if anything, work several years in the Big 4 before switching to industry or a midsize. Is this true?

P.S. So far training at BDO has been almost non-existent, unfortunately (but maybe due to covid, idk)

After around 3,5 years experience in consulting for Gov & Public Sector in a B4 company I want to change to any other area.

I would love to go back to Energy area. I were an intern for almost a year in an energy company...

Also I find interesting Analytics, but I feel that in that area they don't look for people without technical experience in these technologies or projects. Also I don't want to make a step back to a junior contract

L1A visa question: I'm working at MBB and moved to Canada due to Visa issues. Now, my Immigration team is asking me to work on ONLY Canadian client projects so that I'm eligible for L1. Are you aware of any such eligibility criteria for L1A? I know so many people from Big 4 who go to India offices and continue to work on US clients, and then get L1 visa.

I am currently serving my notice period with my present organization. I am having very close to 4 years of experience in application/production support roles. But whenever I apply to opportunities outside, even for support roles they require cloud & DevOps tools experience.

Even though I have taken trainings DevOps tools, I am not very much sure why no calls. Because training/learning is different & getting interviews is a different part. So what can be the approach ?

Got put in to lead client project for ingestion through reporting.
So far:
- PO just got promoted from SME and has never done a data project
- Inexperienced AO who has been with client for 1mo
- DA is new person who wanted to "try out" role
- Experienced devs got swapped out 2 wks in for inexperienced independent contractors
- There is no BA
- I'm a data analyst with only passing familiarity with Big Data
- Client asked for a waterfall project plan but insists it has to be agile

Confused as to when to jump from consulting. I joined a T2 consulting firm after MBA and working from 9 months but the job made me anxious and personal health took a hit. I had decided to complete a year before switching out but just got an opportunity in CEO's office of an energy company. Should I switch now or complete a year and find something else?
I'm also concerned about exits from CEO's office roles, what do they look like?

I worked at a startup before the company was officially registered for 1 year. Startup was registered soon after my 1st year but I have since left the company after my 2nd year. I just received an offer letter for a new company but w2 obviously shows a discrepancy in working dates due to startup's registration etc. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I am worried about startup experience not reflected on w2/background checks properly.
