Is there a neighborhood on the west side that has vibes like Chinatown and Highland Park? Ive been going out to these neighborhoods the last couple weeks and have been enjoying it as it's not as homogeneous

The only somewhat non homogeneous neighborhood in the Westside is the Palms, but it doesn’t have a lot of nightlife and things to do for young people.

SOME parts of Culver City maybe - but it’s getting homogenized very fast.

If you want to experience more variety and colors in LA, you gotta move out East/Northeast.

Echo the sentiment about Palms. I live here and there’s still quiet a bit of diversity and has the LA neighborhood vibes + grunge (in a good way). Diversity in food as well and walking distance to the homogenized Culver City as well if you want a change in scenery.

Little Osaka neighborhood on Sawtelle might be the closest to what you’re looking for. Although luxury apartment buildings are popping up there all the time, so that may not be the case for long.

Come hang out with me in sawtell

It’s been a hot minute. Thai Basil Chicken Lettuce Wraps with Hoisin Sauce (Keto). My pre-covid work clothes are now loose on me. I’ll have to buy a new work wardrobe wherever that may be. I quit my job and am back in school. Goodbye tax, goodbye busy seasons, goodbye billable hours.. 😁

I have been tasked with finding a good diagnostic tool to assess math skill growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year for grades 1-8. I've used generic tests in the past, but haven't ever found anything that really did much for me. Doesn't need to be a free item, just good. What do you use and do you like it or not? Not looking for a curriculum program, just a good diagnostic tool.
