Is there a page limit for motions in Florida state court? I know federal is 20 but can't find a rule for state. TYA!

It would only be limited if the judge specifically addresses it in their division’s procedures, it’s stated in an administrative rule for that county, and/or general common sense/appropriateness (i.e., I wouldn’t write a 45-page Motion to Dismiss because someone failed to attach a copy of a contract).

Look at judge’s divisional instructions.

Lot of judges have page limits (around 10) check their procedures...otherwise you're fine but don't go crazy

Nobody in Florida state court has time for anything more than 10 pages. 😂

Couldn't find anything on the judges page. Took over a case where the MTD is 26 pages for a 7 count complaint

Generally no. If not finding on judge page, then no.

Florida state court can be the Wild West—anything goes! Even though you may not be limited, in my experience judges really appreciate it when you keep it as short as possible (of course without sacrificing quality).

My bet is the judge wont even read it.

Hello, I have received offer letter from EY LLP for Manager position.
There is a bonus component over and above the CTC mentioned in offer letter.

When asked, HR conveyed the below, verbally.
'Bonus is between 10-20% depending on performance. Usually 15% on an average.'

1) This bonus range (10-20%) is not mentioned in the offer letter. Is this usually the case?

2) Are people in EY receiving the bonus right from the first year on the job or is there some extra t&c I was not made aware?

I have gotten more than one talking to regarding being overly eager to cooperate with the other side and push towards a settlement. My boss told me that he doesn’t really respect lawyers who “chase settlements.” I told my boss that I was taught only the most factually contentious cases should be tried and the rest should be settled. He said he completely disagreed. I am concerned that my favorite part of the job is off the table. I LOVE negotiating and haggling. Any advice?

Filed a complaint in early May, they filed a motion to dismiss timely, and I responded in a timely fashion as well. During my research on the motion to dismiss I realize that I had cited a section of the statute that I now feel applies less than a different section.

What is my duty to the court? I do feel that both sections of the statute can likely apply, and admittedly the section that applies better I feel has a lower burden of proof.
