I’m in the same boat at you OP, actually 2 years older and I’ve decided life experience is way more important to me than the money! Applying this fall. 2 years off from work and meeting the smartest people from around, why not? Should add that I don’t have a family.

I’m in the same boat, OP. I’m matriculating this fall. Yolo!
I have the same mindset about money. I don’t think it’s privileged. I see it as taking a risk. For context, I’m at about 175, so my opportunity cost is slightly less than you 2 lool.
You’re definitely at the point where it doesn’t make financial sense anymore.
Are there other factors that still make it worthwhile? Only you can make that call.
If it's just career ROI and the opportunity to unlock certain doors, then I'm pretty sure you're right in the target market for a top part-time or eMBA.
If it's for the other aspects of the MBA (travel, camaraderie, two years off of work, plain ole fun) that has a different price tag for every individual. I think I might have a hard time doing it at your salary level, but I also have kids in the picture.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I think I was just looking for validation of what I already knew.
I don't have a clear goal of getting an MBA apart from personal accomplishment and maybe an EMBA is the route to go if I find a good reason in the future.
What’s do you do at ey ?
After this HULT move by EY, will they support employee's MBA for any other college ?
If you want MBB, why not apply now?
Unless you want to make a career switch into banking or move to a MBB, it doesn’t make much sense to leave. As others have stated, you would likely be given a lower total comp than you are receiving now.
Not at even remotely close to full price-tag. If MBB is the goal (and much more so than the experience of the MBA) you might as well just lateral. It should be very doable especially if you’re willing to come in as A/C
To be honest I don't know what the goal is. I think I just wanted the experience of an MBA. Two years to meet new people and take a break from working.
