I’m currently interviewing for a Program Manager role & the recommend level from my interviewers was L4. I have 11 years experience. I’ve worked on large complex highly visible projects for large companies (Fox, Disney, a few record labels). I’ve built out PMOs from scratch & I even launched my own CPG company a few years back & the products are widely distributed. I’m currently a Director of Project Management. For this reason L4 seems a bit low - any chance the level is negotiable?

If anyone's "base location" and "project location" is different in TCS. Will he able to do work from "base location" as it his hometown and in HR round clearly mentioned that he has some location constraint.

Or after project allocation will he be forcefully transferred to "project location" without his consent and "base location" will also changed? (*new joinee; 5+ YOE)

Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate. Recently I have been looking for a job switch. I have recieved an offer from a startup company whose client is hpe. HR round was taken by a HPE manager too. They told they have 25-30 employees in hpe. They have other clients like Deloitte, PWC .
He told after 6-8 months of performance I can be in direct payroll with HPE.
So is it a good idea to join ?
Or shall I look for other jobs ? Please help ..

Do you ever drop your rate when work is slow? I’ve always believed if you do this, you’ll never get back to where you were. Is there something in between? Availability based rate?

A potential collaborator with a similar skill set and experience said (during negotiations with me) they would charge a 15% premium to me on top of their fees if they were positioned as part of my company vs as their own company. Meaning they would be pushing that fact and their company name with the client unless I laid them this fee. I found the client and sold in the project without their help though my contacts. I have never heard of this. We are both solo operators. Thoughts?

With more demand than supply of Freelancers and Staff, have you upped your rates? I feel like now is the time. I've had places offer me more than my normal to "steal me away" from my current gig, but I don't do it because I feel like that's not fair to place who already booked me. But... if they keep extending me, I feel like there's no option for upping my rate. Thoughts?
