Just have to say - at the beginning of the year I jumped ship where I was (a bank) where I was making $39k a year, to another bank where I am making $45k a year and have a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks work from home schedule. My new company is great and it was a significant raise. Now, this inflation is absolutely killing my wife and I, since we had a lease renewal happen last month. Would I be out of line to ask for a raise after 6 months? I know my coworkers all make at least $5k more a year than me.

Recent new hire here.. is there a way to see your specific level within your rank (e.g. senior 1 vs. senior 2)? Or is this something to ask HR? There wasn’t any indication during the hiring process unless it could be inferred by salary. Thanks!

Has anyone had experience with follicle size discrepancy? I’m trying to freeze my eggs; on day 8/9 ultrasound they counted 4 follicles larger than 11mm, two of which are already mature, 16.7mm and 18.9mm. They also said I have another 5+ in each ovary that are smaller than 11mm. The phone call with the doctor was pretty grim (he basically said we might need to cancel the cycle as 4 follicles is too few for elective freezing). Can the smaller ones maybe catch up? Anyone with a similar experience?

Female here. Had a very successful first date recently - several hours long, interesting conversation, great chemistry. I felt a special connection and thought it was mutual. It’s been a long while since I’ve been excited about anyone and thanks to corona, it’s been a while since I’ve been in male company period, so I really want to accelerate things (see each other again soon) and not play it slow. He declined my offer to meet up today and didn’t seize the opportunity to make alternate plans.

If anyone’s happy to tell their story or an experience that might be useful lmk. Happy to provide a framework of questions so you don’t have to write a think piece... could be how it impacts work, advances your work, learnings from medication, learnings from stress, how you tell people, etc - anything that could help others!

Question: The company that you are working for offers cloud managed services and has been approached by a potential client. What are some areas (or red flags) you would consider before responding to their RFP?

( I started putting together a response but would love to get your insights)

Answer: 1) Understanding of current annual spending vs spending if they adopted our cloud services 2) Clients expected growth rate 3) Regulatory requirements depending on industry (medical, fed etc)

I used to do staffing. Involved cold calling And spamming clients and emails. People treated recruiters as middlemen, a noise and felt disrespectful.

But it’s not easy profession - to specialize and win in a niche.

I know it could be automated and give an experience to candidates and clients by making it ondemand, instant and specialization. I saw a Vision to turn this recruiting business into ondemand staffing companies like Airbnb - just publish talent and do the transaction.
