Is there a ‘quiet period’ before an offer comes? My recruiter hasn’t gotten back to me in awhile and I have been sending her check in emails. Definitely a little scared now after having two super amazing interviews.

For some companies, yesterday was a holiday so I would give it another business day or two. If you don't hear back by Friday, then I would start worrying.

I would be a little more patient. Our recruiter is part time, had off on Friday and Monday. It hard being in the dark, but you don’t want to be overly communicating right now. All you need to do is let them know you are interested and ask them to let you know either way. May as well keep interviewing in the meantime.

Thanks for your feedback everyone - lessons learned here. I’ve definitely heard back. Still in this process!

Probably didn’t get the role, would’ve been a quick turn around if you got the job

If your last interview was Friday, please be patient. Some companies had a long weekend which means they just came back to work Tuesday. They may have to meet with others on the team to debrief and decide what to offer. If you don't her anything after a week send quick note that you're following up. There are lot of variables that could be going on - your interviewer got sick, the person they need to confer with got sick, or could be on vacation. Give it time.

How did you know the interviews you had were amazing? Is that the feedback you received?

Yes I have received positive feedback from the interviews and have something else scheduled in a couple days as well

This is a legit question so don’t hate me just trying to understand if it’s worth it or not. What is the draw of applying to M7? I understand elite status, but based on research the median total comp for an M7 grad is 185k as of 2020 study (2019 data) and the average age of the students in these programs is 27/28. I know going to MBB they have pretty specific comp coming out for M7 grads but outside of those three firms, what is the draw? Trying to justify spending 200k for a degree.

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently a civil design engineer, and trying to switch to real estate as a Program Manager. I have an interview in a week where they tell me I will have to work on ( for about 3-4 hours ) on an operational case study.

The job is located in Paris and the job is in French .

Does anyone here have any case studies in Real estate that they can share ? and if they're from France, that would be even better.

Thank you in advance !

Should I drop the offer?

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. I’ve been trying vitamin D and working out, but it makes my “highs” and “low” SO extreme. The simplest things are so complex in my mind.

If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.

Had an interview Thursday, went really well. Was told I'd be a great fit, they even had me turn around return, and meet with the decision maker the same day. When I was leaving they said they were sending an email with "quizzes" required by corporate.

I sent my thank you message the next day, and the reply said "keep an eye out for the quizzes, so we may move on to the next stage."

It's Tuesday and still nothing. What should I do? Another follow-up email? A call? Or just wait it out?

Some advice from a regular remote interviewer - If you feel you can justify/maximise your value to a company above the current salary band, apply for the role, impress the heck out of the panel and push for that higher salary. You'll be surprised how open this conversation can be.

Company's have budgets in place for recruitment. Therefore, adjustments can be made to other open/upcoming roles marginally to facilitate recruiting your higher salary request.

How do you tiptoe around discussing your previous job in an interview if it was really bad. I worked for a place for about 3.5 months that was unethical, doing illegal things, treating me like crap and ultimately forcing my hand until I had to quit. But since many ask about most recent employment, what’s the best way to address why I was there for such a short period.

How important is to talk to your current manager for references? Basically I don’t want to alert my employer that im looking for a new job in case it does not work out, but companies tend to ask for the most recent references

The job I am interviewing for has been vacant for 5 months. Is that a lot?

Also they are a startup 8 person team.. there has been a 5 person turnover in 1.5yr.
(4 of the 5 were senior roles)

I got an informal offer stating the salary range before they officially extend a written offer. I accepted over email and the recruiter said this:

Are you comfortable accepting at the (lowest part of the range) and everything else listed? Or would it need to be on the higher end of the range I suggested?

What the heck do I say while being polite??? Of course I would rather it be higher than the lowest part of the range!!
