I agreed to buy a home for $ 1.23M in LA. House needs a lot of updating (estimating to be $200k). There is a similar style house down the street that sold for $1.31M in May, but that house is more upgraded. My appraisal just came in at $1.059M. I am going to ask the seller for a reduction in sales price to $1.1M. Anyone ever ask the seller to reduce they sales price when the appraisal was low? How did it work out?

Can someone educate me here - If I buy a call for 50¢ premium so my sunk cost is $50 and then the stock shoots up I get the price - cost when I got in - $50? Correct? But if it’s out of the money, all I lost is the $50 right?
