Is there a smooth way to transfer work files to your personal computer?

My joining is on 28th July in Accenture, I just got the countdown email and I sent my address details for laptop. If I receive my laptop late will it affect my DOJ? In simple words, I hope I get paid from 28th July and not from the time I get my laptop from Accenture

Which would you choose and why?

I personally want to move towards FP&A bc I think it’s more interesting & transferable. But the benefits + pay is so much better at the PE firm. I think I will be happier working at the PE firm, but I think FP&A is more transferable if I were to leave (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong).

Why do so many analysts move forward with PE recruiting processes so early on into their career? I really want to stay in IB for a solid couple years and master what I'm doing now before I move on.

I was supposed to have an interview today but I received an email a few days ago thanking me for applying with them but they had filled the position. Didn’t think anything of it until I got a call from the company today asking where I was, I told them about the email and they said the position was not filled and it must have been an error.
