Cant you just change the permissions settings on Slides to “only those with a link” to see it?
I can but it’s a portfolio that contains confidential info so sending something that’s pw-protected feels a bit more secure to send to recruiters and hiring managers. In case the link is sent around for non-recruiting purposes.
You can change the link to “Restricted- only people added can open with this link” and as the owner, you’re the only one who can add/remove people.
You can password protect a PDF. Can you export the google slides and then password protect the pdf? Not sure what type of Adobe you need to be able to password protect it (free vs paid)
Thought about that. Only drawback would be sending people to a browser every time they want to watch a video.
You can create a .zip file of the presentation and then password protect the zip. Will also work better for file sharing compatibility purposes 👍.
Unfortunately, something that meets all four of your requirements does not exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You’re a strategist. Why are you sharing your client’s confidential information?
You should redact anything sensitive (eg financials, long term strategy, anything not yet public information) period before sharing.
Then you won’t have this problem and you’ll have displayed a level of good judgment that counts for the bigger jobs.

At the end of the day it comes down to how much you want the job I guess. If it was a sweet job at Apple it might be worth making an exception?
You can embed videos into a pdf through acrobat, and pw protect it as well. The only drawback are file size which make sharing/emailing a little harder. Is there a reason you prefer not to have a link to a video?
I do it all of the time in keynote but I imagine it works for the rest of those.

you’re sending your portfolio as a powerpoint deck? you realize websites are a thing, right?
I do, yes.
One day, but it came down to trade offs. Between a very busy job in a toxic environment that I’m trying to switch out of and a few jobs that I’m trying to apply to asap, I don’t currently have the time to make a website.
Decided to spend the last three days trying to get the case studies/thinking/writing down pat. And trying to write the intro/about me slide that reflects my voice without sounding boring/try hard...
