Damn, what you doing for $250k/yr at 27?

I think at this point FIRE means whatever you want it to because there are so many different ways people go about it. The subreddit is helpful and with your income, if your savings rate is decent, you're in strong shape to be able to retire early.

Save/invest as much as possible in tax sheltered accounts then brokerage. That’s about it.

I want to take the next step in my career and I am considering becoming a Certified Financial Planner, does anyone have any recommendations for good online program?

Feeling hopeless today professionally. I’ve tried to trooper on throughout this pandemic but today it all caught up to me. Exhausted, mentally drained and just so negative. Feel like all I do is work since covid. Have tried to set boundaries but it’s impossible when people can reach out on my cell. Get taken advantage of regularly for trying to do what right thing to support my teams. I like my job but I don’t know that I can keep this pace and that adds stress too

Hi Folks,

My joining date is 1st August in @PwC India, I received another offer and asked HR to match it. She came back with another offer less than what I got some where else. I was waiting for revised offer letter but yet no luck. I called HR and now she is saying its still in process and waiting for approval from Business head. Should I wait or join other company on same date?

How likely is a Big 4 firm to not promote you because you were hired too close to the promotion date? I have an offer from EY to be hired in January at slightly less than what I make now, but I was told I would probably become senior by august since I’m an a2. This seemed like a better deal because even though I make more at pwc, I would become an a3 instead of senior in June. How likely is EY to end up telling me they won’t promote due to being too recent of a hire?

Hey all!! I am looking for recommendations because I feel silly: I’m nearly done with my MHA and can’t help thinking my next move is to get my MSW. I honestly just want to be able to work remotely and make decent pay (don’t we all), but so much of my experience is entry level customer service type of stuff. Could healthcare consulting be something that would be reasonable for me to look at, or other recommendations? I don’t mind traveling for work right now, but I do want a family someday.

If you are rolling over an employer 401k into a regular brokerage IRA, and the broker messes up the pre-tax / post-tax statement and has to lock your account and holdings to fix it. So you had to sell all your 401k holdings and need to buy back in in the IRA but can’t do that until it unlocks which is now going to be like a week later. Is there any way to have them pay back any “lost gains” during that time period of when they have it locked?

Hi, I currently own a house in The Netherlands. I was told by a seller agent that I can get €400k if I sell the house, my current mortgage is around €210k @ 1.65% year with payment of around € 1050.

I am planning to move to another country this year and I could rent the house for €1550.

Would it be wiser to sell it an invest the money and not worry about renting?
I currently have around 90k of investments and I am 32 years old.

TIA.
