I want to take the next step in my career and I am considering becoming a Certified Financial Planner, does anyone have any recommendations for good online program?
Feeling hopeless today professionally. I’ve tried to trooper on throughout this pandemic but today it all caught up to me. Exhausted, mentally drained and just so negative. Feel like all I do is work since covid. Have tried to set boundaries but it’s impossible when people can reach out on my cell. Get taken advantage of regularly for trying to do what right thing to support my teams. I like my job but I don’t know that I can keep this pace and that adds stress too

Best area to buy in Chicago? Planning on moving to the city and not super familiar with the area/neighborhoods. Would ideally like to spend ~300k but could theoretically spend more (up to 500k) if I need to for a decent place. Any help would be appreciated!
My joining date is 1st August in @PwC India, I received another offer and asked HR to match it. She came back with another offer less than what I got some where else. I was waiting for revised offer letter but yet no luck. I called HR and now she is saying its still in process and waiting for approval from Business head. Should I wait or join other company on same date?
How likely is a Big 4 firm to not promote you because you were hired too close to the promotion date? I have an offer from EY to be hired in January at slightly less than what I make now, but I was told I would probably become senior by august since I’m an a2. This seemed like a better deal because even though I make more at pwc, I would become an a3 instead of senior in June. How likely is EY to end up telling me they won’t promote due to being too recent of a hire?
Kamala is having a really tough time this evening. This bowl is gonna go nuts when Trump wins in November.

Hi! I'll be graduating from Georgia Tech with a MSc in Industrial Engineering. I was hoping to get a referral for a consulting firm in Georgia, Atlanta! Can anyone help?
I’m interested in remote talent management manager level opportunities (performance management and succession planning, talent program mgmt). I’ve been in global manufacturing for close to 10 years and open to staying in industry or making a change to tech if anyone has opportunities in this area. Thanks!
Google L4 vs L5 SWE. If you get a request for a followup interview for L5 design, can the result be just L4 vs L5 offer, or have people been rejected altogether?
2nd question, how different are job expectations starting out as L4 vs L5?
Sliding into the weekend!! 🍻 🥰
Hey all!! I am looking for recommendations because I feel silly: I’m nearly done with my MHA and can’t help thinking my next move is to get my MSW. I honestly just want to be able to work remotely and make decent pay (don’t we all), but so much of my experience is entry level customer service type of stuff. Could healthcare consulting be something that would be reasonable for me to look at, or other recommendations? I don’t mind traveling for work right now, but I do want a family someday.

What am I missing with traditional IRAs? If you exceed the income limit to make a deduction to reduce your adjusted gross income (aka, high-income earner), is a traditional IRA even with it?
When do we think the economy and market will turnaround? I think earliest in 2 years … during elections…
Got the two week paycheck of less than $400 after maxing out and accelerating after tax 401k, 401k, ESPP, FSA and Dependent care FSA. 🤣
Fortunately, it should go up by a few more thousands after I hit the after tax 401k limit.
If you are rolling over an employer 401k into a regular brokerage IRA, and the broker messes up the pre-tax / post-tax statement and has to lock your account and holdings to fix it. So you had to sell all your 401k holdings and need to buy back in in the IRA but can’t do that until it unlocks which is now going to be like a week later. Is there any way to have them pay back any “lost gains” during that time period of when they have it locked?
Opened a Marcus savings account with 2.2% APY around 6 months ago. rate today dropped to 1.7. Do you think this is due to the market or their business strategy?
Looking for sample post FIRE portfolio that yields monthly income of $3000. I am single. Want to understand how much so I have to save.
Does anybody have a few easy tips on saving and deals? For example, stores you shop at only when there are sales, sites you use to find deals, resources for good stocks to buy, items you would never pay full price for..... looking to build my toolkit.
For those maxing out their HSA, how many of you are using it on health expenses v saving it, and why?
How much is too much for savings? I put away almost 70% of my post-tax income into retirement accounts. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t do it that I’m not aware of?
Is crypto becoming an essential/ mainstream part of a well balanced portfolio? I don't have any and don't know how to get started or if I should bother. Like, it's technically liquid cash right? So should your emergency fund be like 50% USD and 50% BC as a hedge?
Hi, I currently own a house in The Netherlands. I was told by a seller agent that I can get €400k if I sell the house, my current mortgage is around €210k @ 1.65% year with payment of around € 1050.
I am planning to move to another country this year and I could rent the house for €1550.
Would it be wiser to sell it an invest the money and not worry about renting?
I currently have around 90k of investments and I am 32 years old.
Anyone here in education with a 401a or teacher retirement fund?
We are trying to navigate any pretax benefits- can this work the same way as maxing out a 401k?
Anyone have any luck buying refurbished or certified pre-owned cell phones? I’m in the market and looking to spend no more than $300. What do you reckon I could get for that (I’m an android guy), and where would you go to buy?
I just realized my husband and I are behind on retirement savings. What is the best way to catch up? Dump all I can into 401K? Open IRAs? Do I contribute in big excess for the next few years but then go more standard contribution after?
Has anyone calculated 15 years ROI for an investment apartment to rent vs. ETF stock investment in market by the same down payment /closing cost $ as a starting money? My calculation shows buying a house being a landlord gives a higher return when home price appreciation is 3% annually after factoring in all taxes in both cases, 1month of vacancy period per year, maintenance costs, compound interests etc. What key factors should I consider?
