I am getting a Analyst designation at delloite for a 1.7 years experience of it experience.
Should I try to get the consultant designation as the salary range will also open a bit as they r giving me 9.5. Should I just wait a few more months to get 2 years experience and apply the consultant position.

I work in local government and have great WLB. I rarely work more than 40 hours per week. I still have some stress, but my colleagues are all very supportive. My job isn’t work from home, but it’s flexible and I enjoy being in the office with my colleagues. I don’t make a ton of money, but I’ve cracked the 6 figure mark 8 years in. I’m also doing public service loan forgiveness so my loans are manageable and will be forgiven in 2 years. It’s a pretty good life.
I’m an assistant county attorney. I do environmental, employment, and social services law primarily. All of which are areas I can easily pivot to the private sector in should I so choose.
couldn’t agree more also I hate ID and been trying to escape it.
I recently left ID for a more transactional type position. While in ID, I would bill over 200 hours a month, work almost every weekend, and wasn’t making great money. At my current job, I work M-F, never work past 6pm, and make about 30% more with better benefits.
What state are you in if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in California and there were a decent amount of other types of jobs. I did notice A LOT of postings for ID jobs tho LOL. Have you landed any interviews? I think the big thing is trying to articulate your reason for leaving ID. Like I had to explain that I wasn’t really made for litigation, and it probably helped that I had some experience in other areas as well.
This is why I went in house. Transactional work in my pjs unless I have a meeting I know I will need to be on camera for.
I only have two years of experience though lol there’s no way I can land an in-house position yet. But that is probably my end goal.
