Is there an easy way to find out when your credit cards 0% APR promo ends other than calling customer support or trying to find the credit card papers from when you signed up? This would be for the HSBC MasterCard that gives 1.5% cash back. This isn’t urgent and I don’t wanna sit on hold nor try to find the paper work they sent over when I first opened it.

Check the interest portion of your credit card statement. It should tell your when the promotional rate ends

Sounds like you’re spending beyond your means if this is your plan every Christmas.

Maybe you should be. Pretty obvious you’ve never looked at your monthly credit card statements as the intro APR expiry date is on them.

Is it really worth 1.5% cash back if you’re carrying a balance?

I mean I have 12+ mo of 0% so I typically just open a new one around oct/nov, spoil everyone for Xmas, then pay it off in 4-5 months. And then the rest of the year if I have to make any large purchases I just put it on that. Once the 0% is over I open another card. I’ve never carried a balance that I had to pay interest on. Once the promo period experience it becomes a debit card that gives me points. This method definitely isn’t for everyone tho.
